Generation Green is a brand new schools and community programme from British Gas, which encourages green behaviour through a combination of green lesson plans and activities.

For every green action a school performs, such as calculating their carbon footprint, or appointing a lights monitor, they'll earn Green Leaves. Once they've collected a certain number of Leaves, the school can get inspirational green rewards, ranging from educational kits to new bikes. They also have the chance to win solar panels!*

Grown-ups can get involved too: it's simple and free. Just completes one of our Energy Savers Reports and you'll earn 100 Leaves to donate to the school of your choice. So far over 1 million Leaves  have been donated to schools in this way.

Even if your school is not yet registered, we will store their Leaves until they join the programme. So please encourage your school to get involved!
