The 2009 Copenhagen Climate Change Conference

Kids wearing masks for Copenhagen SummitFrom 7th to 18th December 2009, the world’s leaders are meeting in Copenhagen for the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) as part of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The Conference aims to define a new international treaty, setting out targets and guidelines on CO2 emissions. This treaty could represent an important turning point for our climate and will act as a successor to the 1997 Kyoto protocol.

We want to make it easy for your pupils to learn more about the Conference and expand the debate beyond the walls of the Bella Center in Copenhagen, right into your classroom.
