9th September 2011: Welcome to the new Generation Green!

Based on feedback and suggestions from the teachers and schools involved in the programme, British Gas are very pleased to be able to announce a new, updated Generation Green programme.

The Generation Green team pride ourselves on our ability to make changes to match the needs and wants of the schools involved in the programme, now numbering in excess of 11,000 schools nationwide.

One of the biggest changes we've made is to improve and increase the amount of free teaching resources available to our teachers. That’s why we’re launching a fantastic new facility that allows you to upload lesson plans, assembly plans and activities - more resources, by teachers for teachers.

We also want to keep on doing anything we can to make it easier for schools to teach sustainability in a fun and engaging way. For this reason, we’ve introduced a larger curriculum compliant resource library generated by our education and energy saving experts. We’re also offering practical prizes, like solar panel installations and biomass boilers, in our termly prize draw.

Generation Green will continue to support education on promoting sustainability in our school's and local communities but we can't do any of this without the dedicated teachers up and down the country who have helped make Generation Green what it is today.

If you would like to know more about the free teaching resources or have a suggestion for the programme, please contact Generation Green. All comments and feedback welcome.
