Generation Green Insulation Winners
Over the past two terms we have given away loft and cavity wall insulation to 49 Schools. In the summer term 24 Schools won as a result of sharing their environmental education resources with the Generation Green teaching community and another 25 winners are being selected as part of our Autumn Term Save competition! They’ll all be benefitting from warmer classrooms and lower energy bills. Jodi Winter from St Benedict's Infant School, Small Heath, Birmingham said ‘I just wanted to thank the generation green team and British Gas for installing our free loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. Our insulation was installed in the October half term and we have really noticed a difference in temperature in the buildings where insulation has been added’.
Helping schools to use energy efficiently is just the first step, in the upcoming terms we’ll be looking at how you can generate renewable heat and power too. That way you’ll be using less, as well as using cleaner, greener energy!
