These are the most passionate and eco-friendly 7-14 year olds I've ever seen. They're about to put their heads together in some important eco-discussions, but before they do, let's get to know them...
Caitlin has been responsible for informing staff and pupils how to measure their carbon footprints.
Harriet walks or cycles to and from school every day and encourage her friends to do the same.
Daniel is an active green member of his local council’s waste and recycling group.
Luke loves the fact that he lives near lots of countryside and is passionate that it should not go to waste.
An active campaigner on green issues, she has given presentations on sustainable energy sources to her school, Governors, conferences and other schools.
Rachel cares about our planet and believes that educating adults and children on how to save the earth, is the role of herself and other youngsters.
Emily is an animal-lover and is concerned about how environmental changes will affect her favourite animals.
Abigail attends a school that is very active in tackling climate change and is the school’s climate change ambassador.
Chloe plays her part by recycling, unplugging unused phone chargers and ensuring that electrical items are switched off and not left on standby.
She plays her part by living in a way that minimises damage to the environment and tries to keep her carbon footprint small.
Her own green ideas, including the possible creation of a combined solar panelled television and computer monitor.
Ryan believes that energy wastage is a huge problem, particularly through people leaving televisions on standby.
