Our sun is by far the biggest source of renewable energy in our solar system. This summer term we'll be focusing on 'Power' to help schools to learn how to save energy, reduce bills, and create their own electricity through solar power.
How your school can win
Every time you download or upload resources on our website, your school will receive one entry into our end of term prize draw, which closes on 15th June 2012. The more teaching resources you download or upload, the better your school's chance of winning! Winning schools will be selected at random by an independent judge.
Educational experiences
We know that for some schools, nothing beats getting outside the classroom and learning in a more active way. This Summer Term we'll be launching a separate prize draw, giving you the chance to win some fantastic educational experiences. We'll be revealing this prize draw soon so make sure you stay up-to-date via our newsletter and website. Examples of Educational Experiences include a trip to 'the Isis Education Centre 'The LookOut' in London, a Lamplighters tour and a trip to a windfarm.
What to do next
You need to be registered to win; if you're not already a Generation Green member, you can register here. Once registered, you'll gain access to all the free teaching resources on the site and can start downloading and uploading resources to increase your school's chance of winning. Joining and use of the resources is completely free.
