In this activity students will learn the importance of supporting wildlife by learning how to make ‘fatballs’ for birds out of seeds, understand how to weigh out ingredients and the importance of following instructions. Children can observe the birds that visit the fat balls: what times of the day do they feed? Which fatballs do they prefer? They can choose one or two of the birds that visit, research them and create a display with photos of them feeding.
