This lesson introduces pupils to the concept of water (hydropower) as a renewable source of energy. Pupils will see how the energy of flowing water from a watering can be used to spin a bottle. Some pupils will relate this to the wider concept of electricity generation from hydropower. This lesson can be used on its own or as part of a series of 5 related lessons – Climate Change, The Electricity Journey, Wind Power, and The power of the Sun.
